#34 His Next Verse: Entering In

This past week started a time in the Dai calendar when temple attendance and ceremony is very important. As a result, family members of believers persecuted them heavily and angrily at their refusal to participate. In one village two women, professed believers, succumbed to the pressure and entered the temple to participate. The one who refused is the one who has a husband and family members who also believe. This is just a picture of the difficulty that believers face all the time in regards to temple life which for them equals community life. We covet prayers for these women and for their families. Lord, we ask that these women would seek your face for repentance and experience real peace, we ask that you do a work in the lives of their families, who resist you so much. Give them eyes to see you. Give them eyes to see the futility of their temple sacrifices to one who holds no power. “Yes, Lord, we wait for you in the path of your judgments. Our desire is for Your name and renown.” (Isaiah 26:8)
